Little Mix grant magical wishes for seriously ill children

Rays of Sunshine host exclusive wish event with global superstars, Little Mix

On 16th March 2019, Little Mix granted wishes for 12 wish children when they invited them to attend an exclusive wish event in London. The 2019 BRIT Award winners are ambassadors for Rays of Sunshine and they regularly take time out of their busy schedules to grant wishes and support the charity.

At the private wish event, Little Mix spent time with the 12 children and their families who travelled from across the UK to meet their idols. Before having lots of pictures taken, the children got to ask the band questions including: “What artist would you like to collaborate with on a song?” To which the group revealed, “Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars and Calvin Harris.” The wish children also asked if any of the girls in the group could “floss” to which Jess, Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie proceeded to demonstrate the dance move.

Among the children in attendance included 13-year-old Kelsea who is currently living with a brain injury, 16-year-old Millie who is a survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing and sustained injuries to her legs, arms and ears, seven-year-old Lillie who is living with Cerebral Palsy, 13-year-old Demi-Louise who is currently living with a heart disease, five-year-old Maisie who is living with kidney failure and 13-year-old Nieve who is also living with a brain injury.

Following the event, an attending parent, Kim, who is mum of wish child Lillie, said:

Thank you so much to everyone at Rays of Sunshine for what you did for Lillie. She had an amazing weekend. Every time someone asks her about Little Mix she just explodes in excitement! It was an amazing treat after the year she’s had and especially with her operation coming up next week. Thank you all so much!
