What is the wish community?
Our events are designed for children and young people who have received a wish from Rays of Sunshine, and their families.
From the moment the wish is granted, you become part of this community, and are invited to join in any of the events which take place throughout the year – across the UK.
We offer a ‘relaxed’, fully accessible environment during our events so children and young people can feel free to be themselves whilst not being overwhelmed, and share valuable time with others in a setting which aims to boost their confidence.

What are our wish community events?
Our events help to bring wish families together, provide an opportunity to meet others who have faced similar experiences, and most importantly, have fun!
These events are free and accessible activities, both online and in person.
This year, we have lots of entertaining events in the calendar, across the UK, including exclusive private screenings, our online choir, an event with Ferrari — and so much more. There’s something for everyone!
Past events Rays of Sunshine have hosted include our annual Christmas party, theatre trips, ice skating and online workshops.

How do our wish community events help?
Through these events, we strive to build a wish community for the children and their families. We understand that having a seriously ill child can leave families feeling isolated — our events are designed to help you feel less alone.
Our events provide a chance for the family to have some fun and spend vital time together, as well as make new friends going through similar experiences.
Our past events have brought families together and we are looking to continue this by creating jam-packed events which are fun for the whole family.
