Cheryl Tissot, said:

“I’m proud to represent Rays of Sunshine as Interim CEO. I look forward to supporting our amazing team to grant more wishes and provide activities for seriously ill children across the UK.”

Cheryl’s appointment comes as Dr Michele Afif steps down from her role. After many years of committed work, first as a Medical Adviser, and then as CEO, Michele will be leaving Rays of Sunshine.

Stephen Allan, Chair of Rays of Sunshine, said:

“Michele first came to the charity in 2006, rapidly becoming an important part of our volunteer team, helping us find those children who most needed the magic of a wish brought to life.

“More recently, as our CEO she has been no less supportive – rebuilding our team post-pandemic and working tirelessly to bring us through this most difficult of times so that Rays of Sunshine could continue to support the children we serve. We have been incredibly fortunate to have her at the helm this past year driving forward a reinvigorated wish program with quality and beneficiary need at the very heart of all our activities.

“It goes without saying that Michele’s departure will leave a huge gap for us all. Her warmth, energy and commitment for the charity will be much missed by all those who have had the pleasure to work with her and I hope you will join me in wishing her the very best.”
