<What we do>

Rays of Sunshine is a national charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill young people and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospital and within the community

Granting Magical Wishes

Wishes can be as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for a day, meet their favourite celebrity or even a 'real-life' mermaid, or the Loch Ness Monster, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that come true.

Wish Community Events

From the moment a wish is granted, families become part of our Wish Community, and are invited to join in any of the events which take place throughout the year – online and across the UK.

Sunshine in Hospitals

Our hospital team delivers sunshine to children up and down the country currently receiving treatment in hospitals.

From our activity days to our sensory bags, we aim to reach children and their families when they need it the most.

Wish Stories

A wish means children get a moment to think about nothing else in the world but their happiness. It’s a chance to spread some sunshine (and a little bit of magic!) for young people, helping them to forget about doctors and treatment.

Read about our recent wishes directly from the children and families we have granted them for.
