Rays of Sunshine teams up with Ubiquitous Taxis to bring a little extra sunshine to London
Rays of Sunshine is thrilled to announce a unique partnership with Ubiquitous Taxis which will see a bright yellow London cab hit the streets of the capital!
The taxi was officially unveiled at Rays of Sunshine’s star-studded 21st Anniversary fundraising gala at Claridge’s. For the next several months, a sunshine-yellow taxi featuring the Rays of Sunshine logo will be driving the streets of London, helping city-dwellers get from A to B, while bringing a splash of sunshine and raising vital awareness and funds to grant more magical wishes.
The taxi features a joyful picture of 10-year-old Isla, who had her wish granted last year to meet her favourite author Jacqueline Wilson at a VIP afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason following treatment for a brain tumour. Inside, passengers will be able to read more about Rays of Sunshine’s work by scanning QR codes on the seat posters.
Isla, the face of the taxi campaign, said: “I love that Rays of Sunshine grant wishes to sick children and I think it’s AMAZING to have my face on a taxi!”
Dan Assor, CEO of Rays of Sunshine, said: “Partnering with Ubiquitous Taxis offers us a fantastic way to raise awareness of our work across London.
“Thanks to their generous support we’ll be spreading sunshine into the grey winter months, while helping more people understand the incredible impact that granting a wish can have on the lives of seriously ill children and their families.”
A spokesperson from Ubiquitous said: “Ubiquitous is proud to support Rays of Sunshine and wishes them every success in their ongoing work. With your support as well, they can bring joy and provide vital support to seriously ill children across the UK.”
Snap a pic and let us know if you spot the taxi around the streets of the capital. And don’t forget to hail it down if you need a ride! Every time you hop in, you’ll be helping us grant more magical wishes for seriously ill children in the UK.
