Rays of Sunshine and The Fragrance Shop launch Christmas card design competition for Wish Children

We’re excited to announce a special opportunity for children whose wishes have been granted by Rays of Sunshine! In collaboration with our wonderful longstanding corporate partner, The Fragrance Shop, we’re launching a Christmas card design competition that will bring festive cheer to homes across the country – and we’d love for your child to be involved. 

A Magical Partnership 

Since our partnership began, The Fragrance Shop has been a tremendous supporter of Rays of Sunshine, helping us to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families across the UK. From fundraising events to in-store promotions, The Fragrance Shop has shown an unwavering commitment to our mission. Their dedication has allowed us to grant even more magical wishes, such as our recent 9,000th wish and create precious memories for children facing life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses. 

Now, as the holiday season approaches, The Fragrance Shop is giving two talented young artists the chance to make their mark on Christmas 2024. We’re calling on all children who have had a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine to take part in a unique competition where their festive artwork could become a Christmas card that will be sold in stores nationwide and online. 

How It Works 

Entering the competition is simple and fun! We’re asking children to create a piece of artwork that captures the joy and magic of the festive season. Whether it’s a snow-covered landscape, a twinkling Christmas tree, or a joyful Santa, we’d love to see what festive creations can be created, through the eyes of our wish children and young people.

The winning designs will be chosen by a panel of judges from Rays of Sunshine and The Fragrance Shop. The selected artwork will be turned into a Christmas card, available for purchase in all The Fragrance Shop stores and online, with all proceeds going to support the vital work of Rays of Sunshine to grant magical wishes. 

What you will win 

The winners will receive the opportunity to visit the flagship London Oxford Street or Manchester Fragrance Quarters to see their cards in print for an instore experience and to collect a Fragrance Shop Goody bag, and have their artwork showcased across the country.

We can’t wait to see the amazing festive scenes that will come to life through this competition. If your child has had a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine, we encourage you to get involved. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the season and make a meaningful difference at the same time. 

How to Enter: 

• Who Can Enter: Children under 18 who have had a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine. 

• What to Create: A festive scene perfect for a Christmas card. 

• Submission Deadline: Monday 16th September, 12pm.

• How to Submit: fill out our form and upload a photo of your drawing (and please don’t forget to keep the original somewhere safe, in case you are the lucky winner!)
