Rays of Sunshine teams up with Octopus Legacy to make leaving a lasting legacy for seriously ill children easier than ever

A mother holding up and looking up at their child. The child has no hair and is wearing sparkly clothesRays of Sunshine is excited to announce our new partnership with Octopus Legacy, designed to make it easier for supporters to leave a lasting gift in their will.

Leaving a gift in your will means ensuring Rays of Sunshine can grant more magical wishes for seriously and terminally ill children across the UK for many years to come.  Writing a will can feel overwhelming, but with the guidance of Octopus Legacy’s easy-to-use online system, created by solicitors and legal professionals, supporters can quickly and securely create their will.

For added peace of mind, Octopus Legacy’s legal experts are available to offer support throughout the process and can help with any questions or changes someone might need to make. Additionally, for those who prefer to manage their will in person, Octopus Legacy’s UK-wide network of partner solicitors are available for appointments.

Even a one percent residual legacy gift in your will means we can continue making wishes come true for children like Delilah. 8-year-old Delilah is Pink’s biggest fan, and loves singing while she’s in hospital for treatment for her brain tumour.

Our Wish Granters organised a perfect wish day to see Pink live – she wore her sparkliest dress and danced the night away with her mum. Her mum said: “She turned to me after the concert and said it had been the best time of her life.”

Amy Chambers, Chief of Staff and Director of Fundraising & Communications for Rays of Sunshine, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to our supporters, to help them ensure their legacy shines on in the smiles of the seriously and terminally ill children we support.

“Every penny generously gifted in our supporters’ wills will help us brighten the lives of children when they need it most.”
