Meet the Team Sunshine celebs taking on the 2025 TCS London Marathon
We are delighted to reveal the generous celebrities who are taking on the TCS London Marathon for Rays of Sunshine in 2025.
For each of the hopefuls, this will be their first marathon, and we couldn’t be more excited and grateful that they’ve chosen to represent Team Sunshine and help us grant even more magical wishes for seriously ill children across the UK.
Here’s who to look out for along the 26.2-mile course on Sunday 27th April:
John Terry: Former captain of Chelsea FC, where he won multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and the UEFA Champions League. Renowned for his leadership and defensive skills, he also earned over 70 caps for the England national team. John has been a Rays of Sunshine ambassador for more than a decade, helping grant many magical wishes for young fans, and fundraising to help us reach even more children. He will be running to support his recently launched John Terry Foundation and Rays of Sunshine. Support his fundraising here.
Jody Morris: English football coach and former midfielder who played alongside John Terry at Chelsea. Other former clubs including Leeds United, and Millwall, and later served as assistant manager at Derby County and Chelsea before becoming head coach of Swindon Town. This will be Jody’s first Rays of Sunshine fundraiser! Support his marathon here.
Mac Griffiths: Fitness influencer and TV host who gained fame as a contestant on the 2019 series of “Love Island.” Mac has previously worked as a firefighter and participated in bodybuilding competitions, and now helps people as a personal coach. Mac has attended several Rays of Sunshine events to support our work, most recently by getting crafty at one of our art workshops! Support his fundraising here.
Amy Chambers, Chief of Staff and Director of Fundraising & Communications at Rays of Sunshine, says: “We’re so proud and grateful to have John, Jody and Mac for joining Team Sunshine this year, we can’t wait to cheer them on the big day!
“Every penny donated by their generous fans to support their incredible efforts will help us grant even more magical wishes for seriously ill children.”
