What is the Sunshine Youth Panel?

The Sunshine Youth Panel is a wonderful and vibrant community of wish children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17 who represent the voice of the children and young people Rays of Sunshine work with.

Members of the panel will help us to sprinkle even more magic on our wishes and services by sharing their unique experiences and opinions..

 

Who can apply for the Sunshine Youth Panel?

The Sunshine Youth Panel is made up of children and young people between the ages of 7 and 17, living with a serious illness, and who have used Rays of Sunshine’s services within the past five years. This could be:

  • Having a wish granted
  • Attending our Sunshine Sessions
  • Attended a Wish Community event
  • Being a member of the Rays of Sunshine Choir
  • Or accessing our Sunshine in Hospitals Programme

What can Sunshine Youth Panel members expect?

The panel will meet via Zoom, initially meeting 2 months in a row, then moving to every other month.

The sessions will be fun and interactive, all while making a huge difference

We work with panel members to help build confidence, nurture potential and make even stronger connections within our wish community.

The panel will create friendships, reduce isolation and empower children and young people to believe in themselves and their abilities.
