Rays of Sunshine welcomes freestyle football star Ben Nuttall as official ambassador

Rays of Sunshine is delighted to announce World Record-holding freestyle footballer and YouTube star Ben Nuttall as our latest celebrity ambassador.  

Ben has become a loyal supporter of Rays of Sunshine this year. He helped make our Wish Community Event at Wembley Stadium extra special by hosting a football freestyle workshop with our attendees.  

He also helped bring joy into hospitals as part of our International Day of Play celebrations in July. Ben impressed young patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital with his football skills, before coaching a few children to perform skills of their own in the hospital’s onsite playground.  

Most recently, he helped Rays of Sunshine to grant 13-year-old Stefan’s magical wish to meet him, and be in one of his YouTube videos.  

Working with Stefan’s favourite football team, Wolves, Rays of Sunshine and Ben welcomed Stefan to the Molineux Stadium and Wolves training ground for 48 hours of football fun.  

From skill challenges and a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, to scoring a goal on the pitch at half-time, Stefan’s wish was nothing short of unforgettable.

Ben says: “I’m very proud and honoured to become an ambassador for such an amazing charity as Rays of Sunshine.

“In a short space of time we’ve already worked together to make a lot of great change happen, so I’m really excited for what’s to come, making a positive impact on people’s lives through what I do.

“They’re such an amazing and lovely team to work with and I couldn’t be happier coming together to make positive change.”
