An Ayrshire teen, who is living with a life-limiting condition, had her greatest wish granted to meet her idol, and Fleetwood Mac star, Stevie Nicks.
Ahead of Fleetwood Mac’s performance in Glasgow, 16 year old Robyn got the chance to have a one-to-one exclusive meet with the star.
Robyn, is currently living with a severe orthopaedic condition, which has meant she has had to endure numerous surgical procedures and treatment since she was diagnosed at the age of just one. Despite this, Robyn remains positive and one of her biggest passions in life in music and her idol is Stevie Nicks. The teen’s greatest wish was to meet the Fleetwood Mac singer.
Robyn and her family travelled to the Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena where they enjoyed watching Fleetwood Mac perform their hits to a packed-our audience. Afterwards, the teen was ushered backstage to meet the musician, where she got chance to spend some time with star.
“A huge thank you for making my dream of meeting Stevie Nicks come true. I had such a special night and will treasure it for the rest of my life. Stevie was so lovely and spent so much time chatting to me in her dressing room. Mick Fleetwood even popped in to say hi too! I still can’t quite believe it actually happened. Words can’t quite describe how much it meant to me.”
Stevie Nicks, added:
“It was truly a pleasure to spend time with Robyn after the show. She is definitely a girl with a plan and she is not letting this get her down. She may actually save the world. I wrote her story in my journal where it will live on. Rock on Robyn! Love, Stevie Nicks”
The teen’s wish was made possible with the help of Rays of Sunshine’s corporate partners, Frankie & Benny’s, who to date has already raised £250,000 to help grant wishes for seriously ill children, like Robyn.
