An 18-year-old aspiring actor, who is currently living with Cystic Fibrosis, enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the set of Steven Berkoff’s film adaptation of  ‘The Tell Tale Heart’, directed by Stephen Cookson, thanks to Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity, www.raysofsunshine.org.uk, Red Rock Entertainment Film Investment, based at the world famous Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.

18-year-old Jack, is currently living with Cystic Fibrosis – a condition that affects the lungs and digestive system. Due to his condition, he has to take daily medication, do daily physiotherapy as well as attend regular hospital appointments for treatment. Jack has a real passion for film and acting. The 18-year-old recently completed a summer course at LAMDA, a two-year physical theatre course at his college, in which he achieved a  top grade, and is now going onto university to continue his training.  The teen even came out of hospital especially for the morning to visit the film set in North London.

During the visit, Jack got to have an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, watch filming and visit all the different departments on the set, including the props department. To top this all off, he also got to meet the director Stephen Cookson and Steven Berkoff himself, where they got to ask lots of questions about the film and the film industry.

Lorraine, Jack’s mother, commented:

“Jack had an amazing time, so thank you. He met Steven and had a chat as well as three other actors. He has talked non-stop about it. We were shown some props and saw the filming, Jack even had the opportunity to say action and cut. I think Jack is now dreaming it maybe him one day! We were all made to feel so welcome and had a great time. Many, many thanks Red Rock Entertainment and Rays of Sunshine.”

The visit was made possible thanks to Rays of Sunshine’s corporate partners, Red Rock Entertainment, a film investment company, based at the world famous Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.  Red Rock Entertainment supports Rays of Sunshine by sponsoring wishes and enabling our wish children to take part in some exclusive behind the scenes experiences within the film industry.
