This week, Olly Murs granted the wishes of seven seriously ill children. The star took time out of his busy filming schedule for The Voice UK to meet the children at an exclusive event at Wembley Stadium.

Olly Murs has been an ambassador for Rays of Sunshine since 2012, and regularly gives up his time to grant wishes.

Amongst the children was 17-year-old Lily, from Salisbury, who is currently living with Moyamoya disease, which is a rare disease that affects the brain, 10-year-old Madison, who is currently living with a Brain injury, six-year-old Cleo, and seven-year-old Eloise, both from Crawley and currently living with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, and 10-year-old Jessica, from London, who is currently battling Neuroblastoma.

The exclusive event took place at the iconic Wembley Stadium, where the children got to enjoy a behind-the-scenes peek at the famous football stadium, which has welcomed the world’s most famous football teams and performers. Olly spent time chatting to the children before going pitch-side for some photos.

When it was Cleo’s turn to ask her idol a question, she took the chance to find out which judge Olly got on the best with on The Voice, to which Olly revealed

“I get on with all of the judges really well, they’re all fab! I especially get on with Jennifer, as we have both shared similar experiences of starting our careers on X Factor and American Idol.”

Jessica also asked the star what Olly liked about being so famous, to which Olly told her,

“the best part of being famous is definitely being able to meet such fantastic families like all of you”

Rays of Sunshine ambassador, Olly Murs, commented:

“I love being an ambassador for Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity. It’s an honour to spend time with so many amazing families and help Rays of Sunshine put a smile on their faces by granting their wishes – it’s always the highlight of my week! Being able to come to Wembley Stadium was lots of fun, I love football and this is an amazing venue, so it was great to enjoy the experience of going pitch side with the families.”

Jane Sharpe, CEO of Rays of Sunshine, added:
