We’re so thrilled that Little Mix have joined the Rays of Sunshine Family and become ambassadors for the charity.
Recently, fourteen families from across the UK recently travelled to a top secret London location to meet the girl band and fulfil the children’s greatest wishes to meet them. At the event, the band answered a host of questions before taking lots of pictures and presenting each child with a VIP goody bag. The girls ensured all of the children went away with big smiles on their faces and precious memories to cherish forever.
Amongst the children attending was 12-year-old Tia, from Sutton, who is currently living with Severe Congenital Neutropenia, 10-year-old Summer, from Bridgend, who is currently living with Renal Failure, 12-year-old Tayla, from Liverpool, who is currently living with serious medical complications after contracting meningitis, and 12-year-old Sofia, from Nuneaton, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, a form of cancer, in 2017.
Little Mix comment:
“Rays of Sunshine is a brilliant charity that we have always been proud to support. We’re absolutely honoured to become ambassadors and help them continue to put smiles on the faces of seriously ill and very deserving children across the UK. It’s always the highlight of our day to meet so many brave and inspiring families and we’re so excited to continue working with the charity.”
Jane Sharpe, CEO of Rays of Sunshine, added:
“We can’t be more thrilled to announce Little Mix as ambassadors for Rays of Sunshine. The girls have always been amazing supporters of the charity and regularly give up their time to help us bring sunshine to seriously ill children, from headlining our concert to organising VIP events for our wish children. We’re delighted to welcome Little Mix to the Rays of Sunshine family.”
