Funstation launches campaign to encourage customers to donate their tickets to Rays of Sunshine
TODAY, Funstation at Xscape Yorkshire, in Castleford, launches ‘Tickets For Wishes’, a campaign which encourages customers to donate their prize tickets to Rays of Sunshine and help grant magical wishes for seriously ill children.
To celebrate the launch, Funstation invited local wish child, Joseph, from Normanton, along with his family for a jam-packed day of activities at Xscape, including Gravity trampolines, Volcano Falls Adventure Golf, Laserzone, Tenpin Bowling, lunch at Frankie & Bennies and of course, enjoying Funstation. The 12-year-old who is currently living with a complex Congenital Heart Disease, had his wish granted to go on the set of Sky’s Soccer Saturday by Rays of Sunshine.
1p from every ticket that is donated at the Funstation prize booth, or at the yellow collection stands, will be donated directly to Rays of Sunshine and will then matched by the company, in a bid to hopefully raise a whopping £12,500 this year – that’s a lot of wishes!
James Miller, Managing Director at Funstation, explains:
“Funstation is all about friends and family having fun together, and we wanted to do something that would help make happy memories for families who may not be having such a fun time at the moment. ‘Tickets For Wishes’ seemed like the perfect way for us to help raise money for Rays of Sunshine and grant magical wishes for other children just like Joseph.”
“Along with our Xscape partners we were delighted to invite Joseph and his family along today to enjoy all the fun activities here at Xscape and help us launch Tickets to Wishes.”
Jason Warren, General Manager at Xscape, added:
“It was a pleasure to meet Joseph and his family during their day out with us. A variety of our tenants collaborated to create a fun-filled itinerary for Joseph, packed with activities, and a lunch break in between!”
