We’re delighted to have been chosen by mutual provider Foresters Friendly Society as their annual charity from June 2019 to June 2020.
Each year, Foresters Friendly Society’s incoming President chooses a charity for the mutual’s members to support. In addition to ongoing charity fundraising around the country, the President will host a National Afternoon Tea event in September 2019 in aid of Rays of Sunshine. With the money raised, Foresters Friendly Society will enable us to continue to grant magical wishes and provide some comfort to brave and deserving families across the UK.
The partnership between Rays of Sunshine and Foresters Friendly Society commences on the 24th June 2019 at Foresters Friendly Society’s Annual General Meeting and will run until June 2020.
Michael Charlton-Hubble, President for Foresters Friendly Society commented:
“I wanted a charity that would help less able children and to spread some happiness. Rays of Sunshine are a perfect fit because they support children and their families, making wishes come true. Their organisation, sometimes helping whole hospital wards of children, is wonderful and something that myself, my family and Foresters Friendly Society are delighted to support.”
Jane Sharpe, CEO of Rays of Sunshine commented:
“We are thrilled Michael chose to support Rays of Sunshine during his year in office. We know Foresters Friendly Society are dedicated to supporting charities and are delighted that our charity will be helped by their members and the local community that they engage with. We are looking forward to working with them over the next year.”
