The world-famous London Marathon will return in-person this year on Sunday 3rd October. In this iconic 26.2 mile course, you’ll run from Greenwich through the heart of the capital, passing landmarks including the Shard, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben and finally along the Mall to Buckingham Palace. Well known for it’s incredible atmosphere – it’s an opportunity not to be missed.

Team Sunshine
We have a limited number of guaranteed places for the 2021 London Marathon. To join #TeamSunshine with one of our charity places please complete our short application form.
Charity places are in high demand, we give places based on the quality of your application, especially the reasons you want to run for Rays of Sunshine and how you’ll reach the fundraising target of £2500.
If you are offered a place in Team Sunshine, you’ll need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £100.
We review applications as we receive them and aim to respond within 1 week.
How we’ll support you
Whether you’re a seasoned or first time runner, Team Sunshine will be with you every step of the way. We will do all we can to ensure that your running experience is one you will never forget.
What to expect when you join our team:
- Fundraising advice and guidance from our dedicated and experienced event manager
- Training and nutrition plans to prepare you for the big day
- A bespoke running vest with your own personalised name transfer
- Two amazing Rays of Sunshine cheer squads along the route
- Online network to connect with other Team Sunshine runners
- A Rays of Sunshine post-race reception at a beautiful London venue
Got your own Ballot place?
Lucky enough to have been successful in the public ballot? We would be delighted to have you join Team Sunshine.
As an own place runner, you’ll receive all the same support from our dedicated events team as those with a charity place, but there are no sponsorship targets to meet.
