Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity grant nine-year-old’s wish to visit the Harry Potter studios in Watford
A seriously ill nine-year-old girl, from Bradford, had her greatest wish granted to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford, thanks to Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity (www.raysofsunshine.org.uk).
Nine-year-old Alysha, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, is currently living with Merosin Negative Congential Muscular Dystrophy, an extremely rare condition that affects the muscles which she was diagnosed with at just seven months old. As a result of her condition, the young girl is required to perform physiotherapy and take daily medication, as well as use a wheelchair. Despite what she has been through though, the young girl has remained brave and positive throughout.
To make her greatest wish come true, Rays of Sunshine organised for Alysha and her family to travel to London, where they spent an action packed two days exploring the city. As part of her trip, Alysha and her family were taken to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, where the young girl got the chance to see behind-the-scenes of the famous book and movie series. The wish gave Alysha the opportunity to create some unforgettable memories and to spend some quality time with her family.
After her wish, Alysha’s mother, Sabreen commented:
“Thank you so much for granting her wish, Alysha loved every minute. She was extremely happy showing her younger siblings all the props and gizmos used in the movies. She was very excited seeing the great hall and the professors bench! It was a magical day.”
