Two seriously ill children from Rays of Sunshine attended an egg-citing Easter event to celebrate a new partnership between the children’s charity and My 1st Years.

Four-year-old Macie, who is living with Cystic Fibrosis, and six-year-old Alex, currently living with Burkitt Lymphoma, joined children from a local nursery for some early Easter celebrations which included meeting newly hatched chicks and bunny rabbits, and taking part in a mini Easter egg hunt.

This exciting new relationship will see My 1st Years work closely with Rays of Sunshine, a children’s charity which grants wishes for seriously ill children across the UK, aged three – 18 years. My 1st Years will be donating £1 from the sale of a new ‘Hello Sunshine’ range, which will include a baby bodysuit and t-shirt for children from 0 – 5 years. The company will also send a personalised gift to every child fulfilling their wish through Rays of Sunshine this year.

In addition, staff based at the company’s production facility in Northampton and head office in Stanmore will be taking on a range of challenges throughout the year to raise money to help make wishes come true.

Daniel Price, Co Founder of My 1st Years said

“We are thrilled to be working with such a wonderful charity and hope that we can help raise lots of money to fund lots of memorable, happy events”.

Jane Sharpe, CEO of Rays of Sunshine said:

“My 1st Years is a major baby brand and we are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as their first ever chosen charity. Every day of the year our wishes provide occasions for brave and deserving children to put their illness on hold and feel special. Every Rays of Sunshine wish is personalised to make the experience as magical as possible and, like My 1stYears, we create treasured family memories. We are continuously looking for ways to brighten up children’s lives and being able to offer a My 1st Years gift to our wish children will be another perfect way for us to do that. We are also looking forward to working with the My 1st Years team to raise funds to grant more magical wishes.”
